(More customer reviews)This one is a keeper.I have had my Schecter Tempest Custom in gloss black with gold hardware since February, 2010.The intonation on this guitar is fantastic.The neck is smooth and fast.While the factory Grover tuners were OK, I found I was retuning after every 2 songs or so.So, I put a set of Sperzel locking tunersSperzel 3x3 Gold Plated Locking Machine Heads, which fit very easily into the holes that were already in the head.They look fantastic (see photo above) and my tuning/retuning has gone way down.
For strings, I have been using Optima Golds (24 k gold-plated) that I have been buying overseas (best price, even with shipping - but check the exchange rates).
As far as my strap, I tried a few, but the last one I tried was the best - a Jodi Head Koi in Black and Gold Jodi Head Black Koi Fish 2.5 Silk Brocade w/ Adjustable Tail Guitar Strap.

De Armond Ashbory Bass Strings Review

(More customer reviews)I have been wanting this little bass for a long time, and finally decided to purchase it, even though I had never had an opportunity to test one.Worse decision ever.For me, the bass is virtually unplayable.It's not so much that the strings are too close together for my playing style, but it's the fact that the strings do not stay in tune.Because this is a fretless bass, adjustments can be made relatively quickly, but when you play "positions" like I do, and the position does not remain in tune over very short time spans, the frustration level rises exponentially.Not recommended for any serious bassists.

The stand's construction was solid. However, the stand's narrow base makes the stand itself a bit less stable than a wider stand.So, if you have a normal sized bass, you might consider a different stand.
