(More customer reviews)I have been playing bass forever and tried pretty much all the top brands. I use them on everything from my vintage Fenders to my upper end 5 str USA Tobias. Nothing else lasts nearly as long as the Elixers. They produce killer tone and they keep perfect tune. Another plus for me, particularly in the studio, is string noise is minimal from finger movement due to the coating. I have used several top name coated strings, which I will not mention the names, and they just do not measure up. So they may seem a little expensive but not really when you factor it all in. Plus they have the best sound for me. I play with a very busy regional band and gig 3 to 5 times a week. I don't work for or get any endorsements from Elixer (but I would be glad to send them several cds :)... so this is not an add. Just a review for the curious. Stay in the pocket, Ray.
