(More customer reviews)I got this for Christmas and have been loving it ever since.All my guitars are outfitted with EMG 85/81, but I found myself needing that extra kick at times.A couple of my guitars have the EMG active pre-amp, but that solution was so so.The Meat Jr from Toadworks is amazing.It introduces minimal noise (when you have it cranked) and tons of boost.As they claim, it does not rob your existing tone. bit justs enough boost to make your power chords heavier or your leads sing that much better.

This effects pedal is very simple by design, but offers such a great subtle difference I can't imagine turning it off.

Fishman B-II Acoustic Instrument Preamp Review

(More customer reviews)The B-II allows me to turn down the gain and volume on my battery powered bass amp by Pignose, the Hog-30.As a result, I'm now getting at least two more hours out of the amp's twin motorcycle-batteries.My passive Kala U-Bass (a ukulele bass!) sounds great with this device.The only gotcha that I've noted is that it is relatively easy to overdrive my 30-watt amp.It didn't take long to discover the sweet spot, however.The Fishman B-II preamp makes my unplugged Pignose sing longer now. Yipee!
